Originally built on a rich, 30-year heritage of experiential hospitality and acquired by Hyatt in 2023, the brand is designed for global travelers who crave exceptional service, surreal yet contemporarily chic design, and built-in nightlife. Each Dream Hotels property is an individually curated social hub, seamlessly blending upscale boutique accommodations with progressive dining and world-class entertainment venues that make each location a vibrant destination in its own right.
About Dream Nashville
Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, Dream Nashville is a flagship example of the brand’s lifestyle philosophy. Developed in the city’s historic Printer’s Alley, the property artfully pairs landmark 1890s buildings with rich, modern Art Deco design. As a premier destination in “Music City, USA,” Dream Nashville goes far beyond a traditional hotel experience, featuring 168 high-end rooms and suites alongside a massive footprint of eleven unique dining and entertainment concepts. This includes high-profile restaurants, bars, and “Dirty Little Secret”—an upscale, urban nightclub that has become a staple of Nashville’s legendary nightlife scene.
Objective
For its landmark location in the heart of downtown Nashville—developed in collaboration with local development group Royal Investments—Dream Hotels sought to create a world-class, fully integrated audiovisual experience. Because Nashville is a rapidly growing corporate and tourist destination, the hotel required a highly sophisticated AV infrastructure worthy of its musical heritage.
The primary objective was to completely immerse guests across eleven distinct dining and entertainment venues, including several restaurants, bars, a clothing boutique, a private lounge, a conference room, and an upscale, urban nightclub. The operational challenge focused on delivering a powerful, high-performance audio and visual system that could flexibly adapt to a wide variety of high-profile events—such as fashion shows, live performances, and DJ sets—while blending seamlessly into the luxury interior design without disturbing nearby hotel guests. The brand required an Expert Guide to design and implement an integrated program capable of supporting high-energy nightlife while protecting the peace of the upscale hospitality environment.
Solutions
Dream Hotels partnered with Mood Media to design and implement a comprehensive, property-wide solution. By combining architectural audio engineering with cutting-edge visual displays and centralized controls, Mood Media established a clear plan to transform the property into a unified sensory experience.
Immersive Audio Design and Event Connectivity
Mood Media collaborated closely with Bose to design a virtually invisible, yet powerfully immersive, audio experience across the property’s diverse venues. Traditional bars and restaurants were outfitted with Bose speakers and subwoofers to deliver a high-quality strategic audio program. To drive operational flexibility and support dynamic event connectivity, each venue features integrated Dante input plates. This advanced technical feature allows seamless plug-and-play access for microphones, DJs, and live performances, empowering hotel staff to execute flawless events with zero friction.
High-Impact Nightlife Integration and Soundproofing
For the flagship entertainment zones, “Dirty Little Secret” and “Snitch,” Mood Media deployed heavy-duty Bose RoomMatch speakers and ShowMatch subwoofers to activate an intense, premium club atmosphere. This high-performance hardware is backed by advanced structural soundproofing to ensure that guests near these areas are not disturbed. To easily transition the space, Mood Media utilized digital signal processing and advanced amplifiers, harnessing the power of the system to allow staff to instantly activate a high-impact “Party Mode” audio profile for events at the touch of a button.
Cutting-Edge Visuals and Centralized Control
To captivate guests visually, Mood Media integrated premium Samsung displays into the restaurants and bars, wrapping select screens in custom frames from Nashville’s Minuteman Press to provide a clean, integrated appearance. In the “Dirty Little Secret” nightclub, the team designed and implemented an expansive 12-foot-wide 3.9mm SquareV video wall, paired with 227 pixel-mapped Chauvet Epix Strips on a suspended ceiling, Chauvet Rogue Spotlights, and a speaker-inspired LED element from Meyer Davis to further highlight the area.
The entire property-wide ecosystem is managed via Crestron Touch Panels (7” and 10”) in each space, allowing the hotel management to control the environment locally in each room, or globally from their office.
Results
The collaboration resulted in an undeniable success, positioning Dream Nashville as a premier entertainment destination in Music City. The integrated AV and lighting systems successfully elevated the brand’s profile, providing an unforgettable nightlife atmosphere while maintaining the luxury environment expected of a boutique hotel.
