Mood Media Satellite Repoint FAQ
How can I restore my music?
- Fill out the contact form to the right so we can schedule a technician to repoint your current satellite.
- You can attempt to temporarily enable a limited playlist by performing the following:
- Unplug the Coaxial cable out of the back of the receiver from the port labeled LNB or RF IN and leave it unplugged for the time being.
- This will trick the receiver into Rain fade and a 30 minute music loop will play. It takes about 60 seconds for the receiver to switch to Rain Fade and begin playing music.
- If music does not restore, please reboot your player by unplugging the power cord for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.
- Even after music is temporarily restored, we will still need to realign your satellite dish. Please fill out your information to the right.
Why does a technician need to visit my location?
Over time, satellites run out of fuel, which causes the satellite to be decommissioned and no longer provide a music signal. Before this happens, a Mood technician will need to realign your satellite dish to a new satellite in order to continue receiving a music feed. The current Mood Media Satellite SES-3 will be retired on July 1st, 2024. Beginning July 2023 Mood Media will begin simulcasting on our replacement satellite SES-1.
When will a technician visit my location?
A technician should have already visited your location to perform the reprogramming of your satellite as of July 1st. If your satellite has not been realigned and reprogrammed by a technician already, please fill out our Contact Form on this page and a representative will be in touch with you asap.
I can’t hear my music or my music is repeating only a few songs:
If a technician has not been out to your location to perform the realignment, please fill out our Contact Form on this page and a representative will be in touch with you asap.
If a technician has already performed the realignment, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:
- Ensure both your satellite player and your amplifier have power. Please try power cycling your player by locating the power plug on the player, then unplug it from the wall for 30 seconds.
- Try turning to a different channel on your receiver. You should also attempt to turn up the volume on the amplifier.
If none of these actions work, please fill out the following information and a Mood representative will get back to you as soon as possible. If your issue is urgent you can use our chat function in the bottom right of support.moodmedia.com.
