Mood Media Corporation today announces that the US Patent Office has issued a patent on its proprietary audio beacon technology platform known as Mood Presence. The patent covers Mood’s method and system of delivering targeted messages to consumers in a commercial environment.

“The patent validates that our approach to location-based marketing is unique in the marketplace, and now with more than 300,000 locations enabled across North America, Mood’s Presence platform provides retailers a turnkey way to activate in-store mobile marketing campaigns immediately without the need to install any other hardware or software,” said Ken Eissing, president in-store media for Mood.

Mood Presence is the platform that supports Shazam In-Store, powered by Mood, a mobile marketing solution introduced last November.

“Our platform and enablement strategy continues to expand along with the development of a range of exciting interactive solutions that will further leverage our Presence network,” Eissing added.
